I
have worked in financial services for twenty-four years and before
becoming a Director of Independent Solutions worked as a Senior
consultant & Senior manager for AMP Pearl Assurance.
I am fully qualified to conduct all aspects of financial planning and remain committed to providing independent advice to my clients.
Areas that have interested me of late have focused around pension planning and ensuring that clients are making adequate provision and paying into the appropriate plans, with particular emphasis on where and how clients begin drawing their benefits. Purchasing annuities is not always the only option available, and making a decision to use drawdown either in part or totally has become increasingly more popular.
I have also dealt with large investment
portfolios, securing potential growth in equities or more cautious
investments depending on the client’s attitude to investment risk.
The area of investment planning frequently enables me to plan for
clients potential Inheritance Tax problems, and by trust planning
mitigate the potential tax liabilities that currently exist with his
clients.
As with all good Independent Advisers, I am currently studying for further qualifications to keep up to date and maintain my knowledge of the forever changing financial service industry.
